    Dusky-Faced Tanager, Panama

Hi Gander, Just happened to be watching for a few minutes earlier today, and am fairly sure I saw that same bird you describe. It looked like an immature male Flame-rumped Tanager to me (female like overall, but with black blotches on the underparts). https://ebird.org/species/flrtan1

Taita Falcon stake out at JD Strijdom tunnel: still reliable?

They are back! We saw a bird there in January last, at least. Apparently there was a pair attending a nest high up on the cliff late in 2018, but we only saw one bird (good scope views) sitting on the cliff in January. Local on site guide Michael, who you'll find at the curio stalls there...

    Lens repair Ireland

Hi John, You could try this place in Rathmines, Dublin. They did a good job repairing a Canon 7D for me a year or so ago, at reasonable cost, and were recommended to me at the time. I see they do lenses too. http://camerarepaircentre.com/contact_us Best regards, Aidan

    Birds of Argentina

I placed a pre-publication order for this from Bookdepository on 24 September 2009, expecting it to be published shortly after this! Admittedly at €27.88 pre-paid it was a good price. But I did not expect to be waiting almost 8 years and counting.:-C Aidan

Ultimate Indonesia: 4 month search for endemics

Hi Ross, Thanks for posting. Brought back memories of an independent trip I did to the Lesser Sundas in 2012, especially of that National Park on a main highway where they want to charge you to be on the road! Otherwise I liked my visit there, and managed all the endemics, though not as...
