Zeiss HT Objective Covers...
Have to say, when I finally saw what passes for Objective Covers that come with the new HT's I was shocked. Obviously the irregular shape of the exterior barrels makes it impossible to supply the terrific tethered objective covers that come with the FL's, but man... what a huge disappointment... -
Swarovision Objective Covers?
Question for those in-the-know... are you having "issues" keeping your objective covers on securely? I've not used the new Swarovisions in the field but have heard they may not stay on as securely as the older "slip-on" objective covers... true? Do the old style EL covers fit the new SV's... -

Just Tried The New 8.5x42 Swarovision...
The ergonomics of the bin were a real pleasure. Lighter and smaller feeling than the original EL's. The image, as was expected, was exceedingly bright and sharp, but the much discussed "rolling ball effect" was indeed present, and much to my surprise it bothered me quite a bit! I had expected... -

Swaroclean, NOT the same...
as the Leica or Zeiss coating? My rep tells me that Swaroclean is not in the same league as the Zeiss Lutotec coating or Leica's hydrophobic coating. His information is that Swaroclean is a "treatment" Swarovski applies that will diminish within a year's use... Yes? No? -

Zeiss FL "Waterproof" Depth Question?
I'm having trouble understanding/interpreting the Zeiss FL depth/time rating... does anyone know the FL's specs (400 mbar... no idea what that means) and how it compares to Leicas rating (16.5 ft @ 10 min I believe)? Thanks.
