Does it remain effective and before it leaks out ? Jerry

Broken focusknob Swarovski EL, more people having this?

I've never heard of this before, not common at all. It could be abuse or not knowing how to adjust the diopter.

Sky Rover Banner Cloud 8x42 APO Review

I wonder who is behind this company. Lots of talk and noise, another China made clone. I remember well, how Zenray got its start, and finish. Does anyone know about that ? Jerry

    Nikon HG 8x30 dissection

You don't need to send binoculars in to clean out some dust, they are waterproof, put them under the tap. Try harder and think about it. Jerry

Will Swarovski upgrade lenses on older 7x42 B SLC?

This would require a phone call to the service department. It does not sound like those would warrant new lenses, and a slow focus was standard on the model. Internal cleaning means what, fogging ? I do know they won't replace any scratches to lenses without a charge. Swarovski service is...

    8x32 advice?

Welcome to Birdforum, and you have a very good question, and don't be bashful, it is good to have you here. There is no protocol, as your post will be of interest to many. The 8x32 size seems to one of the most popular all around sizes one could choose. I have tried several of the models you...

8x20 in possession. Which one to add?

I think you should look beyond Swarovski and Leica. Zeiss in the 8x25, either the Terra or the Victory, both great optics and value. Some have compared a few grams of weight difference in some of these above, not important. It is more about the view, handling and enjoyment, and here where...

    How to pronounce "Nikon"

Bringing an old thread to the top. Leica was discussed earlier. Any thoughts, and has anything changed? Jerry

    Japanese High grade Binoculars

Jack: I think if talking high grade Japanese binoculars, that means Nikon. If you want to study up on some interesting reviews, then do a search on "Better View Desired". It has many reviews with the start of the Nikon roofs that include the HG in Europe and in the US called the LX. The...

    Trinovid hype

Henry, I am wondering what porros you were using in your comparisons above. I find it disturbing that you enjoy putting down the enjoyment that some have had with the Leica's. The key word is "kill joy". Jerry

    Docter (ex-Zeiss) Classic porros

I have experience with the 15x60 porro models, both the older and the newer one with updated armor. They compare well with others such as the Zeiss Conquest HD 15x56. Docter has gone out of business in optics such as binoculars, as of several years ago. They still use the name for rifle scopes...

    Zeiss dialyt 7x42

The T*P model shown and the T*P* designation are probably identical in every way, they both have phase coatings, that is what the latest models came with. The T* version is also very good, I have enjoyed examples of both. Jerry

Zeiss SFL 8x40 Eyecup Stray light issue!

Do you wear glasses ? Often this could do with having the IPD (interpupillary distance) at the right point, or it could be having the eyecups, in or out to the proper position for your eyes. Good luck, have some patience and try to get the optic to fit you. Jerry

    Leica Bins

Leica does it very well with boutique optics, the quality, fit and finish are the best. I would go ahead and enjoy. Jerry

I think you have a good idea, both are very good binoculars, and so keep both if you can. Jerry

Poll: will you buy Swarovski AX Visio?
