    Jackdaws feeding on hogweed stems

    I was in Tintagel yesterday. As well as feeding on leftovers from our picnic, I saw a Jackdaw pecking on a broken off stem of hogweed or similair. Anyone know what it was after? My guess is seeds or insects.

    December butterfly

    Just popped out to do a bit of lunch time Christmas shopping and saw a Peacock butterfly go past me and into a sofa shop! (Paris Street, Exeter). Never seen one so late - or is it just that I haven't been paying attention? Atomic Elk

    Stork in Somerset

    A belated posting this, but I saw a stork in a field from a train approaching Taunton on Monday (25th July), at about 7.00 pm ish. Anyone heard of stork sightings in the area? Could it have been an escape? AE

    Greek Lizard ID

    Any ideas on a lizard like thing a saw in Rhodes a few years ago? No photo I'm afraid but I saw it in the grounds of a hotel in April. I recall it as very slender, about a foot long and VERY bright green. I've tried to ID it from books and the net on and off, but with no joy. Atomic Elk

    I've just joined, so firstly hi to all on what seems to be a very friendly board. I live in Devon and saw during a walk this morning a white rabbit hopping around in a field. I've previously seem the usual wild rabbits in this field. Anyone know if albino wild rabbits occur? or might this be...
