    Pels Fishing Owl

    We tried to get a decent photo of a Pels Fishing Owl at Drotskys in Botswana, but it was a bit far away. Can anyone recommend an area in South Africa where one has a chance of spotting these beautiful birds? Perhaps we will be luckier next time!

    Yellow-billed Kite

    I watched this Yellow-billed Kite swallow an entire baby chicken. I see from my photograph that the crop appears to be on the upper side of the neck instead of the usual place. Is this correct or is there an explanation why there is such an enormous mound on the neck after swallowing the baby...
