    Kidderminster Peregrines

Rubbish! The more people who know about these particular birds the more effectively they will be protected in my view! I did this because I am told they are not wanted by the restaurant below and that the maintenance people who look after the park are planning an outside clean and refurb of the...

    Grimley and Holt

Dead swans! They were all on the larger of the 2 main lakes near the sand and gravel workings where we park our cars (the northern end of the reserve). Forgive me but yesterday is the first time I have visited this place. There was one down near the Camp House Pub too.

Dead swans! I have seen 6 dead swans today! Dave from the Swan Rescue Centre at Abbots Wood was there to record them but I didn't see any of the corpse's removed for scientific analysis which I find puzzling!

Mystery bird? It had a green tag on its left wing with a yellow 'T' on it top and bottom!

Buzzard or Marsh Harrier? Saw this bird over the flashes this afternoon. It was behaving like a Marsh Harrier but looked to me more like a Buzzard?

Really outstanding shots! Well done with your selection of photographs! I think these are excellent images - its very refreshing to see such HQ images on this forum, as these really do capture the moment in all its glory for all to appreciate! Excellent photography - I think this is what bird...

Arthur and a burnt out hide! I too have very fond memories of Arthur especially in the cold of winter when he always came to feed the birds at the feeding station on the flashes, freezing cold and I had to poor my hot coffee from my flask to thaw out the lock on the store so that he could gain...

Stunning shots! Some stunning shots here - you must have got very lucky with the light and the birds? Well done - better get down there myself!

    Crazy birds!

Gosh! Blimey - I guess you should know? I got the shot on Skomer last summer and after some research in my bird book I came to the conclusion that it was a Meadow Pipit but I bow to your superior knowledge. If you don't know what a Wheatear looks like who would? Thanks for pointing it out and...

    Crazy birds!

Dunnock behaving badly? I hear what you are saying but we have a large conservatory and it would be difficult to mark every pane of glass I think? I only happened to notice him a couple of days ago - he may have been doing it for much longer I don't know as its only first thing from first...

    Crazy birds!

Strange behaviour? Meant to ask if anyone else has ever witnessed this kind of behaviour?
  16. kingfisherajh

    Crazy birds!

This Dunnock is doing this every morning and I fear that he could be damaging the glass of my conservatory let alone harming himself! If you turn your sound up you will hear the bangs - sounds just like a tennis match! http://youtu.be/KrW925puTuE

I haven't 'bad mouthed' any individual in the hide! I can't even remember your name but I remember you as being a decent guy! That's not the point. I didn't approach you at the time because I didn't understand what you were doing and I hadn't at that point walked from the Moors to the Flashes...

The New Hide I have to say that in my view the New Hide is not as bad by any means as one might think from listening to the reports on this forum! I have been in it today and can honestly say its absolutely fine - in fact it seems great! It is strong, safe, sturdy, spacious, easy to access...

Thanks! Thank you for letting me know Sy! I am not completely up to date with the latest developments on the hide as I only drop in to the forum occasionally and to wind a few people up about petty subjects? (JOKE) To be honest I have got bored with all the moaning and groaning about the new...

New Hide? Can anyone tell me if this is open for us to use now as I don't want to walk down there only to find it is out of bounds!

I like your Lapwing scrapping image. Good action shot. Well done!

Our NEW HIDE! Personally I can't wait to use it! What it looks like probably doesn't matter to most people - as long as our viewing angle and position is similar to the older one, that there is more space and it is safer to access then I am sure it will be fine. Doubters will soon get use to...

Quite a 'poke' that! Ouch! Haven't sold any pics yet pal. Maybe I could interest you in being the first punter to buy one of my shots? By the way what does 'diatribe' mean? Your apparent literacy sounds quite convincing and is very entertaining I must say! Shocking to learn there are so many egg...

What a stupid comment? Of course I care about the welfare and conservation of all UK wildlife that's why I like many others have voluntarily increased our monthly subscriptions to the WWT 2 fold to help 'pay' the bills! I trust you have too? However, whether you like it or not - birds must be...
