    Squelchy and water getting deeper Thanks guys they do look like Finches to me, Cape Sparrow size, with a black bill similar to the Cape Sparows still don't understand the "feet" - a bit like "snow shoes" but for marshy land

    Thanks Delia female - not sure as the female has brown eyes and the male amongst other differences has "evil" eyes I think that it is a first year male this is a first year female - again I think

    margins of the Lagoon after the tide went out - wet feet??? small birds, maybe a mixed flock, (see 4th image - Plover???) of about 15 ....... Cape Sparrows??? - but what's with the feet sorry about the quality - images taken from a distance
