    yes there appears to be many blackbirds this year ,today 12 in the garden all eating apple.

    we had a male comming for 2 years ,no females,then this year1 female but no male,can't figure it out.

    siskins

    now snow has gone most of blackbirds,thrushes redwing have gone to the fields,arrived yesterday 5 siskins along with a redpoll ,also collared doves,fatballs are been demolished.i have noticed 1 or 2 smaller birds with like a web foot ,or club foot.

    Very busy at the bird feeder today!

    not so many birds in the garden since the thaw,1 redpoll,4 siskin,tits,2 goldfinch,few song thrush nibbling at the apples.i fieldfare appeared for 2 days .

    yes ,here in the west if ireland we have about 15 blackbirds in the garden ,normally about 3 or 4,also 4 goldfinch arrived and 1 fieldfare the first i have ever seen.

    thankyou marmot, this morning with snow gone fewer birds around ,i would like to see a bullfinch never seen one yet.

    ....around 12 redwings arrive recently includeing a mistle thrush which can be quite agressive,also 1 redpoll,1 female blackcap which only stayed 2 days.also many blackbirds and song thrushes more than usual.bird table in garden beside the river moy foxford.
