    sorry no photo. Saw a bird yesterday, briefly, so no photo, about the size of Chiffchaff, brown back, pale stripy breast, like meadow pipit, but what stood out was some greenish spots on the back, evenly spaced. what was it. as always, thank you for your help. toad, yet again.

    over here in cyprus, small amount of birdwatching managed, the question is can you tick off a bird, if its dead on the road. The only Francolin seen was one squished on a drive up to the pan handle. is it tickable ?:smoke:

    Seen on a frozen pond, these go across the pond. Prints are about 80mm long I would guess, maybe 100mm. Any ideas. Heron are in the area, could they be Gray Heron? thanks toad

    I guess they are Mallards-ish, but what would be the combination here. Someone posted a website showing many permutations of Mallards, but I cant now find it. Anyone know of it. thanks

    Guessing a juv, but its already bigger than the Canada Geese they are hanging around with. The one on the left, orange beak.
