Very busy at the bird feeder today!

For once the nyger seed is being eaten rapidly. The change of location of the feeder seems to have worked wonders. 5 Siskins on it today along with 4 Goldfinch. Earlier in the week we had a Stock Dove, GSW and the Nuthatches are visiting very regularly.

    IPhone problem

Hi Niels. Could it be the signal from the router isn’t strong enough? We’ve just had a booster fitted as Netflix kept dropping out upstairs. And I think the same was happening with my phone. Just a guess mind as I’m useless with technology.

Beautiful day with my oldest today. He turns 17 next week so we went out for a meal - can totally recommend The Sheppey just outside of Glastonbury. The vegan Thai Laksa with Bao Bun and chilli sambal was amazing. The water levels were pretty high. I’ve attached a few photos from Tealham Moor...

Very busy at the bird feeder today!

Looked out the kitchen window this morning and chuffed to see the Greenfinch back. Then a bit of colour caught my eye. Male and female Bully also present. Hopefully the start to a good day’s birding. 🤞

Very busy at the bird feeder today!

Working from home today and the garden was full of common birds. Nuthatch, 3 Jays, Dunnocks. Highlight was the first Greenfinch in the garden of the year (unfortunately very scarce here now) and the male Siskin back. Apologies for the junk photos but my camera was misted up from being kept in...

New mammal species for the year in the back garden. Though he/she was looking quite dishevelled. Has been raining a lot though. Also noticed he/she was limping so have put some food out.

Cheers KB. I’ve only tried Eco mode once. And that was when it predicted I’d get home with 8 miles of range coming back from Cardiff/ Barry.

    Griswold’s UK Birding List 2024

Decent weather here today so I headed out with the pup. Initially thought about going to Kidwelly but was a little pushed for time. Didn’t want the OH ruining the Sunday dinner so I needed to get back👍 So it was off to the North Gower. Walked out to Dalton Point. Usual selection of waders and...

    Griswold’s UK Birding List 2024

Wanted to test the Zoe properly today prior to a trip to Norfolk in a few weeks. Covered c270 miles. Temp between 9 and 12 degrees. Averaged 3.7 miles p/ kWh. Had one charge in Bridgewater KFC whilst having a vegan Chicken sandwich. Car went amazingly well. Have no concerns about taking it to...

    Griswold’s UK Birding List 2024

Absolutely brilliant day out with Owen, Amy and Rob yesterday. Dipped on the Sociable Lapwing. But good to bump into Dave and Paul from South Wales there. Headed over to the Hayle Estuary for the gulls and actually enjoyed going through them all. Amy and I picked out a couple of Yellow Legged...

    Birding In Nerja

Hi Euan. We stayed inland a little just outside of Frigilianna a few years ago. Beautiful area. Had Bee Eaters over the Villa along with Black Kites. Golden Orioles below the Villa and Woodchat Shrikes and Turtle Doves on the telephone wires. Very much a family holiday so hopefully somebody...
