    Lesser Yellowlegs-St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada

    I think this bird is a Lesser Yellowlegs. I saw this bird this afternoon near Long Pond here in St. John's. We see a lot of Greater Yellowlegs here, but this bird was probably about 1/4th the size of a Greater Yellowlegs. Thanks for your help.

    Would birds who winter in other areas away from where they breed, be considered native to the wintering grounds as well as where they breed? Because if the species in question was not introduced to either area, wouldn't it be considered native to both areas?

    Mallard Female?

    I labeled this duck as a mallard female on my YouTube channel, I received a comment from someone who said that it isn't a mallard female, but something he called a "manky". I wanted to know what you guys think. Also I am sorry for the quality of the photo that I am including.

    Unidentified gull- St. John's NL, Canada

    I was filming the birds around Quidi Vidi Lake this afternoon, and I captured some shots of this white gull, I am not certain what species it is, it may even be a juvenile. I thought at first that it was an Ivory Gull, but its legs look to be the wrong color.

    Wild bird seed safe for Rock pigeons and ducks

    i am sorry for such a silly question, but is a wild bird seed mixture safe for rock pigeons and ducks? The ingredients are as follows; black oil sunflower seeds, white millet, peanuts, milo and red millet. It may also contain tree nuts and soya. I guess this should be safe.
