I wonder if anyone here had a recent Suriname experience, as we are planning to go in early 2025. Trip reports are found on the regular pages but mainly pre covid time.

We saw this bird around Tena in Ecuador. I have no clue, probably shot is too bad for a positive ID but any direction would be good. Thanks in advance.

    Uganda July 2018

Inspired by the Kenya trip report by lgonz here in the forum, I decided to check my notes and checklists and do a little write down of an Uganda trip I did together with my father in 2018. As it has been some time, some of my memory might not be 100% accurate anymore. But maybe still interesting...

    Raptor Ecuador (Yanacocha 3400m)

We saw this raptor at Yanacocha Reserve. In the field we got some accipiter like vibes, but looking at the images I doubt so. Probably easy. Is it just another Variable Hawk?

    Thrush Ecuador (Wild Sumaco)

Taken in Wildsumaco in September. It looks like it has a Pale bill. We only recorded Black-billed Thrush during our stay. I know we briefly discussed this bird even in the field but then put it away as another Black-billed. But is Black-billed allowed to show such a yellowish bill? Thanks for...

    Quito Airport Pond

Me again with the next question (probably not the last :) ) I checked the Quito airport pond via Maps and street view. Is there really the only access possible via the Highway, because there parking doesnt seem to be a valid option. The amount of observations suggest some easier access...

Trip Suggestions: Kind of a long shot

I know this opens up to a wide variety of suggestions. But with the far traveled community here iam hoping for the final input for this. Weaver, Central Namibia 02/2020

I saw this Weaver in central namibia in February and couldnt ID it in the field. A large number of Southern masked Weaver was present at the location. I think it just might be one in a strange looking Plumage. All other males I saw, have been in full breeding Plumage.

    Shoebill Uganda

Hello everyone, we are maybe going on a "non birdy" but still nature focussed tour to Uganda next year. My biggest worry about the tour is, that Shoebill seems highly unlikely with the itinerary. And you cant go to Uganda and return without Shoebill I guess We might squeeze some time in...

    Looking fo guide Palenque-Bonampak Mexico.

Its me again ;). After the great help with destinations, does anybody know a guide for the Chiapas lowlands area. Connecting with a guide for a daytour at Felipe Carrillo Puerto in Yucatan was easy but chiapas seems to be more difficult. We are looking for a daytour. Best would be a trip to...

Trip Suggestion Mid April around 12 days.

Hello guys. Iam looking forward to some suggestions for a birding trip for 2 people. Living in Germany so Australia is not an option :D. For me it is important, that it is mainly doable without a guide and the species are outside the Standard Central European/Medditerrenean pool. I looked...

Bunting(?) Kruger National Park SA Oct,2016

Back from my 12 Day Trip to Kruger this bird left me somehow not confident with an ID. I think it is a Golden-breasted Bunting in a plumage not illustrated in any of my books but hope you can clearify that. Thanks in advance, Robin.

    Apps for sounds Mexico.

I am planning a tour to Mexico (Yucatan,Chiapas) in 2017. I have the Howell Webb field guide for Northern central America + the Sibleys for the US-Birds. Usually I would create my own Sound Database but the Roberts App from South Africa was quite handy and totally worth the money paid. I know...
