    Neutral density filters for better view?

    Just wondering if anyone has tried neutral density filters on their binoculars for use in (bright) daylight in order to dilate eye pupils which in turn much improves the experience of moving your eyes around the field of view without blackouts. Is this sensible? I haven't tried the filters...
