    Nikon D7000 ISO Experts

I have used this camera and found the maximum ISO i would use is 1600 and then I could remove the noise easily with NR software, just looked at the bittern image and it looks fine to me, maybe a bit more work in PS but the makings of a very good image

    Id The Thief

That other guy could be totally innocent and have nothing to do with that thieving Bast*** so lets not make assumptions as it would be unfair on him. Cant believe quotes like "he's not a birder" WHY? are they all perfect law abiding citizens? it is not possible to tell from his clothing

    D800e

500mm is easier to manage than 400mm (lighter and the increased magnification) I can handhold this lens for a while but certainly the best results are from a tripod.

    New fx body

Thanks for all the replies, I have now purchased the d800 and am so far very impressed although I hope theres a firmware fix due for custom setting banks, as you cannot save user settings as I can with my 7000, if you make a change to the settings whilst in the field the camera automatically...

    Before and after image editing

Great stuff Roy! I have used a few of the tips you gave me in the past which are very simple but effective. Cs5 is a great piece of software but I do find it very complicated for my little brain to understand|:S| however once you do grasp some of the basics it can make a huge difference. I have...

    New fx body

Thanks for the replies so far especially putting me right on the d3x......I am a little suprised nobody has commented on the d4 or do you all think it is over rated and overpriced?

    New fx body

would the d3x not be better than the d3s? i know its got slower fps but wouldn't the 24mp be a real advantage. I thought i read somewhere that the d800 was 1 fps slower than the d3x....which may not seem much but i suppose 1 extra is a lot when you are only getting four or five to start with.

newbie from Canada wants tips on his goose

Re-worked goose I think your picture is a very good effort...yes it is to central in the frame but that can be fairly easily remedied. I also like the two tone bg and just think it is a little too bright and needs desaturating, also wonld benefit from a little sharpening. A good bird to learn...

Hi Steve, thanks I have taken the advice on the S hawk, I have re-cropped from the original Raw file and it has made the pic a lot better (not really sure why I cropped it so tight in the first place). The SE Owl is an uncropped image so I am stuck with it, but I do agree with you a little more...
