    I agree the new Trinovids are expensive, but optically they should be quite a bit better than the originals. Many of those weren't even phase coated. The new ones have modern glass and coatings. They should be as good as current bins optically costing around the 1k price range. I guess we'll...

    The new CL has better specs - a bit wider FOV and better ER. It also has center diopter like the SV. Jan got to test one and said it's quite a bit better optically than the current CL.     You could wait for 2 new bins to come out which will be noticeably brighter than your CL 25mm and still lightweight: New CL 8x30 which was just announced recently by Swaro. New retro Trinovid 7x35 Both will be bright, very light and still portable.
