    400mm f5.6 with 1.4x tc

    I occasionally use a Canon 1.4x TC, with a 350D and 100-400mm, i've found that the image stabiliser is okay, but autofocus is lost, unless of course, you tape the pins. This results in quite a lot of hunting, so i prefer to use manual focusing. Hope this helps. Al.
