    You're forgetting something; all of the example "experts" you gave can be checked by other "experts", apart from the "Windermere Ranger", that apparently has no equal. If, for example, a GP says I need a particular treatment, I can get a second opinion. The time has long past of people...

    I've just been thinking (yeah, I don't do it often unless I have too), and I can't see how this cull is going to work. If there's 1000+ Geese, and you kill 200, that leaves 800+. I'd assume that at least 200 pairs would breed successfully, and have at least 3 young per pair? So, ignoring...

    I don't like anything being killed, but I especially don't like anything being killed unnecessarily. Of course, that's just the child in me, not the practical adult. OTOH, the "child in me" is what fuels my fascination with Wildlife; so I'm hopeful that I won't get too much like an adult|=)|...
