    Just a thought, I can't remember if there is a height barrier near the cattle grid Clive, which would prevent a coach entering? If not then I'm sure it's easily the best place to park.

    We tried late afternoon after the Ibis and got nothing either. Still Dipper on the river and Raven over but no Hawfinch. Did get Brambling under the trees, two with Chaffinches. They are around elsewhere so won't be long. Should have done Wraggs but were freezing by then!

    Hi Sam, as ever the best area is over the bridge from the car park around the entrance to Willersley Castle (it's not a castle) in the tall trees by the entrance. Also the Yews in the church yard have been good for me and the tall trees in Cromford Wharf car park itself. I have only seen two...

    Had a very pleasant stroll from Whatstandwell to HPJ yesterday with the kids - they picked out 9 Pike and a cracking Grass Snake! I had forgotten how easy Pike are on this stretch. Oddly tho not one WV but may be just too many people about..... Little Grebes on nests were good to see as were at...
