    Should I give up birding?

    No reason at all not to give up (or not start), but don't feel you have to enjoy birds in any particular way. Some of us enjoy watching birds and identifying them, some enjoy studying their behaviour, some enjoy learning about their populations, some enjoy studying their migration, some enjoy...
