    W10 working fine on two laptops - installed a couple of months ago. W10 got ill on a PC; uninstalled and back to W7 without any problem. Back up everything ( you do anyway, don't you?) and give it a try.

    Update; "Critical Error start not working ". Seems to be quite a common problem. Have reset to Windows 7 with the loss of some installed apps and desktop files.

    Now installed W10 on 2 laptops and a PC (prev; W7, W8.1 (or crap as I call it), W7. No problems yet. Agree about Microsoft and the default settings but since they are all doing the same, I cannot see it makes a lot of difference.

    Cia Their welcome to it. I am sure the CIA is a thoroughly unpleasant organisation but I find I worry more about the various IRAs, IS, lone nutters and BMW drivers.
