    Greater Scaup, or ???

    Hi all, While it does look like Greater Scaup,and I think it is one,what's going on with the pale band behind the black tip?I think that this is due to the bird being a 1st-w female(?):the bill is quite dark otherwise,and this 'band' seems to be adult-type bill colour coming through?
