    Don't forget we're in a leap year to keep balance because the solar cycle isn't exactly 365 days so the times will always vary and it's probably that in conjunction with the lunar cycle that determines the slightly different heights year upon year but I'm not really sure there.

    Another case of smiley amnesia. ;) I have noted that 10.00m is the max we'll get this year, nothing over that. Weather conditions as always though are what will make or break a high tide but a 10.1 or even a 10.2 is the holy grail.

    I find it much more useful to buy the little books with all the year's tide times and heights in, have the rise and set times of the moon and the sun too which is also useful. They're only a couple of quid.

    Is that at Marton Mere? I haven't managed to see one yet. Are they easier/more reliable to see than at Leighton Moss?
