    Back in Sweden on the island of Gotland (same size as Mallorca). A lot colder, but welcomed by an abundance of waxwings as a comfort. Thougt i'd be sharing some of the photos i got during the visit. Mostly from S'albufera. Had to delete a lot of photos due to bad heat haze effect of midday bird...

    We had this one on a long distance today around 3 in the afternoon. Seen from central S'albufera looking South. The size difference to the annoyed marsh harrier is striking. Is it one of the few golden eagles on mallorca?

    We've been here for 3 days with our kids so far, especially the 11 year old is all about birds. Very happy so far with our visits to s'albufera, mostly the common stuff i guess but new to our kids. The hides suited them perfect and we've seen the sponbill, ibises, night herons, stilts...

    Thank you for your kind reply. Im sure we will have a good time. Hard to point out specifik birds of interest . Arctic waders are always nice though we have already had a good season here on Gotland. Would love some stilts, hoepoes (missed one just today in our area, rare visitors)and blue...

    What a great and inspiring thread! We will stay a week in alcudia 15-22 of october with our bird crazy kids. S'albufera twice, s'albureta once and a walk in boquer valley is on the list. Any other suggestions? Might rent a car for one Day otherwise i think we will prefer bus/bike/walking. Are...
