    Unusual looking bird

    Hi there, welcome to birdforum. Jay does have a white wing bar, so if the impression was of Jay, maybe it was simply that the blue wasn't apparent at that distance. If you have even a poor photo, probably it will be enough for some on the forum to identify. PS I am assuming you are in the UK...
