    Toad, Algonquin

    Looks like it could be the American Toad rather than a Fowler's Toad. http://wwknapp.home.mindspring.com/docs/american.toad.html If you heard it call, you'd know. The call is a pleasant long high trill compared to the Fowler's Toad which sounds like the bleat of an angry sick sheep.
