    Light Brown Apple Moth. I used to refer to them as EP but people did not understand that either. A pity such an insignificant moth has such long names.

    Despite the wind I put mine on last night and got a Red-line Quaker, two LBAM and what I think is a runt LBAM, a tiny thing about 1/3 the normal size. I can't find anything else it could be.

    A disappointing but predictable two moths - LBAM and Lesser YU - to show for 13 hours of electricity usage. As usual my mate down the road, in his much nicer area, had far better rewards including three different carpets so I will persevere on the promising nights.

    I am at the stage where I just catch a very few moths of the same few species yet my mate down the road keeps showing me stuff like Pale Pinnion that keeps me plugging away in the hope of something better. Tonight looks like the last warm night for a while though.

    No CNs under any name here, but my first attempt of the month yielded ten moths of six species. Garden Rose Tortrix Large Yellow Underwing Lunar Underwing (4) Red-line Quaker (NFY) Beaded Chestnut (2, NFY) Angle Shades Up to a total of 207 species for the year now, just about what I ended up on...
