    Ok, Cornell says the White-tailed Flycatcher is found from 1500-2500 in Colombia to Peru and lower altitudes than the White-banded. Usually that would mean 1500 in Peru and 2500 in Colombia. Here is another photo. I don't have the bottom of the tail, but the tip of the tail does look good for...

    I would only expect to see that species about 1000 meters higher than where I was. Plus the two color bill on this photo looks wrong or that species. And the brow on the wtt is very well defined. But you are right there are a lot of similarities and it is as good as a match as anything else...

    And the white feathers in the face don't fit for Small-billed Elaenia. That species has three wing bars and this one maybe does but I am not sure. So now I am less sure about Small-billed Elaenia.

    Thanks. I think I was too low for that species. I usually look for the distinctive shade of brown in the back of that species. Plus the bird has a two color bill. My guesses had been Sooty-headed Tyrannulet and Southern Beardless Tyrannulet. But I have a new idea, Small-billed Elaenia...
