    thanks guys, lot of mixed reviews, i just need to try it for myself, also what camera shop is MPB.. Thanks everyone, I have seen some canon grips for £50 2nd hand, so just waiting on them at the moment..

    yes it is, i use a 100-400 handheld, so i think apart from the battery power It would benefit me to be able to hold the camera better. Do you know of any other grips apart from canon which would be ok to use. sean.
