    So true! Only consolation is that they are so fat around the middle that they would need an 8o+ mm interocular distance. Maybe the binocs for Bigfoot?

    There are 100* apparent angle telescope eye pieces available, pioneered I believe by the TeleVue Ethos line. They are not small and not cheap, but they demonstrate that very wide angle views are possible. The price point for Holger's Deltarem successor would probably be double that of current...

    GBS spotted the flaw in that argument long ago. :C The manufacturers, based on recent comments, would more than likely produce binoculars combining Swaro focusers, Zeiss SF robustness and Leica transmission levels.

    For astronomy viewing, the Canon is in a league of its own, The stabilization is magical, the stars float in the sky rather than dance all over. Of course that also makes it easy to see considerably more detail when available. The 10x50 EL is lighter and more ergonomic as well as more elegant...
