    Windermere Canada geese cull to go ahead

    they'll not need to shoot the dogs ,they'll poison themselves drinking water with blue green algae from the lake as happened with a visitors dog last year. The blue green algae also caused the cancellation of the great Windermere swim a year or two since !!!

    Windermere Canada geese cull to go ahead

    local birders will know that numbers of feral geese in the lake district have increased considerably since the 1960's not only canada geese but also greylags. Local tenant farmers of the national trust probably don't have shooting rights and so there has been no control of numbers on the lakes...
