    Panasonic FZ1000 Review...

And doubly interesting if the tech shown here will make it into the next GH level camera (and from there into other m4/3 cameras). Niels

    Panasonic FZ1000 Review...

When the FZ1000 came out there was agreement that the sensor was the same that was used on the sony 1-inch cameras. Well, Sony just came out with updates to their cameras featuring a new, more capable sensor...

    Panasonic FZ1000 Review...

I would expect greater reach with same sensor to come at the cost of greater weight. I would expect that if a new version comes out it will have the same sensor but tweaks to processing allowing even better high iso shots (this part is conjecture, I do not know how good the process is at the...

    Panasonic FZ1000 Review...

Robert, my proposal to firstly make sure there is a copy of every picture on a computer hopefully would have some of the same effect: allow a cool head ;) Niels

    Panasonic FZ1000 Review...

Perhaps you can copy everything to the PC, do your reformat, and copy those back to the camera that you need to access? if there are problems in the stage of reading by the PC, there are those programs (one came for free with one of my memory cards) that are intended for retrieving photos from a...

    Panasonic FZ1000 Review...

The jamming at 122 sounds like an issue with your memory card. I would empty it out completely and then reformat in camera; if that does not help, then a new card might be in order (check warranty on the old one). Niels

    Panasonic FZ1000 Review...

I do not do frequent video - I tend to forget I have the option. I also do my shooting handheld, not on a tripod. Having said that, I think that the videos I have done has met my expectations, but those expectations have been tempered by the fact that I have been handholding. Here is a link to...

    Panasonic FZ1000 Review...

I have one or two products for the win systems, but there is this version for the mac: http://www.acdsee.com/en/products/acdsee-pro-3-mac (and there is also a version for iOS) Niels

A proper photo manager such as ACDSee allows you to see thumbnails also from photos on external harddrives, assign keywords and categories to them, etc. Niels

I am getting tempted to upgrade my GH2 to a GH4 because that camera also has 4k video - but I will need a larger HD first ... Niels

    Panasonic FZ1000 Review...

I saw a little review of the 1.4x when used with the 40-150mm pro lens. Unfortunately, it protrudes up into the end of the lens, and therefore cannot be used together with e.g., the pana 100-300mm (and I do not know if that one is sharp enough anyway). Niels

    Panasonic FZ1000 Review...

Sometimes olympus goes overboard with making things small ;) I am still looking forward to reading reviews of the 300 mm and the 1,4x TC for the m4/3 system that they are expected to bring out soon. Niels

    Panasonic FZ1000 Review...

First of all, I do not have a FZ1000. Hunting happens - I think 7-8 times have happened to me in the past when I was using the FZ18, but not often. I am now using a GH2, and cannot remember that many tries using that. When I have focusing problems with the GH2 it is often because there is...

    Panasonic FZ1000 Review...

Agree with Robert, not something to let continue for a long time. In the meantime, use a regular eraser on the battery contacts as well as on the corresponding contacts in the camera to see if that takes care of the problem. Niels

    Panasonic FZ1000 Review...

I dont know if you have read the comments about the 150-600 mm lenses from Tamron and Sigma. These words could just as easily have come from there. The further the distance the less certain the AF and the less details are captured. Niels

    Panasonic FZ1000 Review...

If the UK is remotely like Denmark, then the UK prices include your VAT/salestax. That is not included in US list-prices, taxes are always added at the checkout. US sales tax depends a little on the shipping address, but the times where you automatically could avoid it by ordering online is...

    Panasonic FZ1000 Review...

ChrisK, thanks for doing that; I did not realize they both started at the same place in wide end. firstreesjohn: what Chris alluded to is that in binocular terms, 1x corresponds roughly to 50 mm in the above calculations. That means that in binocular terms, the reach is best expressed as FZ150...
