    Where do you go birding in southern Illinois?

    My wife and I are wanting to plan a trip to southern Illinois for the first weekend in May. We live in south central Illinois and were thinking somewhere down around Shawnee. I would love to go somewhere we could see some Owls along with other songbird species. Thanks for any input!
