Welcome to Nick's dining room table.

Congratulations on the book contract, Nick. Looking forward to it with great anticipation. Those two Bittern paintings are wonderful. Bitterns alone are great birds and you paintings show them well. But I just drool over the backgrounds in these two paintings. Wonderfully impressionistic...

Welcome to Nick's dining room table.

All three are great paintings, Nick. I'd be hard-pressed to pick a favorite. I have no problems with no. 2, however. It's a wonderfully impressionistic rendering of a bird sitting on a down log with large rocks in the background (that's what I see anyway. I expect others will see other things.)

Welcome to Nick's dining room table.

Welcome to Nick's dining room table.

Great sketches Nick. It's tough to see a favorite birding area/bird habitat changed (trashed) by development. But remember, your sketches and paintings will keep the area alive in your memory and certainly always entertain we BF viewers.

Terrific results from what from all evidence was also a terrific day! Who needs sleep? That nice green beetle should go into a bird painting somewhere.

Welcome to Nick's dining room table.

All great, Nick. I particularly like the Hen Harrier--great atmosphere. I saw a Northern Harrier here a day or two ago in atmosphere just like that. And "coots just being coots" is usually entertaining! You have caught them perfectly. Sid
