    I had to liberate some handmade frames I made 15+ years ago to frame some of my insect drawings for some exhibitions. Now I need to use them for some bird paintings. But it did give me chance to shoot new photos without the aggravation of glass glare. These were all done about 16 years ago...

    Whilst sketching House Sparrows at the feeder on my studio window I just heard something on the radio about this local artist and grasshopper expert http://www.ansp.org/museum/art-in-science.php and his show at the Academy of Natural Sciences here in Philadelphia. I thought it might be of interest.

    I was impressed with at least some of these the first time you showed them and I'm just as impressed if not more so. That beetle(Japanese Beetle?), is just great against the white flowers.
