    HBW Illustrated Checklist

I totally agree with your last post, Andy. Especially about the independent vs. guided travel. There is a way to remember as much from guided travel, i.e. prepare as well, but most people (including me) get lazy in their preparation by the idea of a guide showing you everything.

    HBW Illustrated Checklist

I feel personally that keeping a list helps remembering what you saw, where you saw it and, last but not least, how it looked like. In this way, you have a firmer grip on the species in a new destination, whether you saw them before or not...

    HBW Illustrated Checklist

Robert, I would advise you to still have your data either in an online system (like I do with observado), either in an offline program (like scythebill). In this way, future splits and lumps are automatically processed with updates of the IOC / Clements / ... list. No obligations whatsoever...

    HBW Illustrated Checklist

You aren't too shy to give a well-founded review of this book that I, and with me many world birders find rather excellent and worth the money, are you? ;)

    HBW Illustrated Checklist

I received mine yesterday. I ordered it roughly 1 week ago (not more). I like it (my review-writing skills are a bit lacking I know!). You will like it. I am still contemplating writing notes in the book. My better half told me I shouldn't do that in a book this expensive...
