hello from Danube Delta (1 Viewer)

Hi Callatis,

Welcome to BirdForum! - nice to have someone from Romania.

What birds did you see in the delta, and what do you get around Mangalia (I just looked it up in my atlas, in the southeast close to the Bulgarian border, on the Black Sea coast - should be a great area for birding)

i saw pelicans, cormorans, swans, huge pray birds and others. But the most curious was a little green bird, striped with black, which flew out from shallow water when i marched through marshes. of course, i saw the nicest Papilio Machaon...

Dear friends, thanks for the attention i get after so much time. That bird i saw (green/black) could be a species of Callidris.By the way , here were elections and the news are not so happy for younger generations. So, I was a little bit caught with politics and filming, but always looking for BF.
