agree with you (I am very active in animal welfare and I know about the many terrible things)

your rhino image is mystical

One 'plan' that my friend came up with...[and i agree with him]....is that ALL rhino horn should be injected/treated with chemicals that would render any ingestion of the substance highly unpleasant...

Basically....contaminate the source...[and obviously, whatever 'substance' was used to treat the horn would not affect the beasts themselves].....

If the users of rhino horn ended up on the toilet for a week that would be very fine indeed....B :)

ps...thank you for your kind comment on images...[i'm still working on many more].....:cat:

Still working on many images from Africa.....and still 'doing' rhinos amongst other things...[loved the rhinos in Attenboroughs 'Africa' new series last night...bloody marvelous]...!

And for those who may be interested here's a compilation of cheetahs which i decided to set to music.....[if you watch full screen then note that images 'move' with the pan and zoom effect giving impression, i think, of heat]....

Love them both user, rhino photo and cheetah video. The cheetah reminds me a bit of the first time I looked at a leafhopper under a microscope. What massive thighs they had, or the insect equivalent of thighs! No wonder they can hop so high I thought. It's actually scary thinking about what those hind legs on the cheetah could do.

Cheetah vid is mesmerizing! Thank you so much I just love cheetah

You are welcome Colleen.....[and thank you Ken]...!

Cheetahs are very special indeed and for many years i had dreamt of being in their presence...more so than any other cat....:cat:

'Mesmerizing' is an appropriate description of these creatures and i felt that i could only relate images accompanied by, what i consider, to be 'the right' music...

It sounds a bit 'twee' but everything is musical in my eyes and i am continuing to experiment with various combinations....

Here is my first attempt at such a combination....Lions of the Kalahari....

All the best....

I stand corrected, though my guess is that only Matt might have wondered about my comparison of the thighs of leafhoppers and cheetahs. It's actually the enlarged femur of the Flea Beetle that I was thinking of. Gives cheetahs, no pun intended, a run for their money.;)

Quite a bit to catch up on in here. Firstly that photo looking down the mountain with the mist is just stunning m8. I also love the Rhino fiddlings :t:

The 'mountain with the mist' is Augrabie Falls...a marvelous place riddled with eye catching rock formations...[glad you like]...!

Rhino 'fiddling' is illegal i believe...[;)]....

Just for a change from African stuff...[as much of it appears on my dubious blog]...i will just post a few local 'bits' in reference to landscape...

First two shots were taken the day before the second two shots...[i found the curvature of muddy tracks in this field most appealing]...

The last Robin shot was taken today at Rutland Water where this wee beasty was so hungry it 'attacked' my lips...!! Maybe he thought my tongue was a worm or something or perhaps he didn't appreciate the conversation i was having with it...[chuckle]...

ps...sorry you can't see the Lion vid Gaby...don't know why as it seems to be working fine...?

You are very kind Chris....

Hans Zimmer is a master.....his soundtracks are sublime and 'Injection' seemed a good fit for the Cheetah vid....

ps...re 'A Fool' and 'A T**t' ....i couldn't resist writing those in the credits...B :)

pps.....my next vid will be directed by Ann Idiot.....;)
