Bad circumstances turned into a cracker of a day!
The trip to Zeeland, Holland didn't go quite as planned. But not necessarily in a bad way!
The day started very foggy. When we arrived at the province border the mist was so thick that we had to wait it out for 1.5 hours. It cleared a little and we were able to see 150-200 metres. Later it would get slightly better but not great.
We didn't have high hopes but we set off 11 o'clock. The day would end just 6 hours later. In these 6 hours we managed to see 78 species of which 3 new lifers for us! And thats quite unique for us in Holland!
Red Necked Phalarope, Red Phalarope and Little Auk!
So what started out as a worst case ended up with a great list!
I'll add some pics later!
