Olympus 300 f4 IS PRO tripod mount. (1 Viewer)

New to Olympus lenses so would appreciate any help in securely attaching a QR plate to the mount.

Not happy to rely on the Arca-type grooves on the mount as there is no obvious means of retaining the lens should the associated clamp slacken, the clamp screw can only be thumb-tight and must surely be affected by the strength of the user. Considered using a Manfrotto QR plate but again, no obvious means of utilizing the supplied locking pin in order to prevent the plate turning.

Perhaps the holes either side of the 1/4-20 screw thread in the mount hold the answer to my query.
