In flight shots with Nikon Fieldscope EDG85 (1 Viewer)

Nice shot Mike and this is Black-capped White Eye, regional endemic for Greater Sundas Island, found only around the mountain.

On my recent trip searching for the rare Hook-billed Bulbul with the gang, saw few interesting Dragonfly and Damselfly at the forest reserve.

These was taken with ISO 2000 as I don't used flash on Nikon D300s with my current Nikon Fieldscope EDG85 setup.

On manual focus, it is quite easy by practiced to get the subject in focus even though on moving subject like Waterbirds and etc

Horukuru,

I seriously wish we lived a bit closer. Would love to get in the field with you and both our systems. After taking a look at your photos I am sure I could pick up a few pointers from you. Here is what I recently got in San Diego, CA with the EDG 85mm ST Fieldscope and the FSA-L2.

Boy, that would be great. I will always keep that in mind, but for the interim I will be pointing people your way if they want to see more examples of this great digiscoping system and your photos) Thanks so much for posting.

Best,
Mike

Wow some of those shots are pretty good.

I have tried to get in flight shots with my Digiscoping but nothing has been as well executed as yours.

Thanks for posting, very interesting to follow.

Hi,

I must say these flight shots are impressive. May I ask what shutter speed you have used?

Hi Jason,

your shots are impressive. Do you do this with the scope/camera combo always mounted on a tripod or freehand, too?
