Flycatcher, Minnesota, USA (1 Viewer)

I saw these birds in Minnesota around August. I posted 4 and 5 a while ago but people weren't sure but suspected least flycatcher. I wonder if 1, 2, and 3 are the same kind of bird?

They're all flycatchers - no vireos.

As Larry said, this genus is difficult to identify to species, especially from photos. That said, Least Flycatcher seems reasonable. But you probably wouldn't want to actually assign an identification based on these photos.

My mistake. I thought the "second bird" referred to picture #2 of the originals!

Agreed... sure looks like a Philadelphia Vireo.

Sorry, yes, I was a bit rushed and ambiguous; should've said "bird in second post" rather than "second bird".

Cheers

James
