Brambling or Chaffinch (1 Viewer)

Great photo as they are always on the move. I have two beautiful males identical practically and two females about occasionally in my garden outside Newry since the snow. Everytime I look out the males are in my Hawthorns or the Ash trees or at the seed tray and such colourful birds........ stunning. I think its beech nuts that attract them I read and we ate beech nuts often as children and I actually did see them lying somewhere recently on my walks near here but forget where. My two males really like their seeds on tap ............and are here for the rest of the winter.
