Duck and Parrot - Lanzarote 2011 (1 Viewer)

Not sure about these two, the duck is probably a mallard but as Black Duck is a possibility I'd really like to be sure to avoid throwing away a lifer.
The parrot has me stumped as according to 'Birds of the Atlantic Islands' I should only find rose-ringed parakeet or monk parakeet on the island. However neither seem to have a white eye ring? There were around 30 of these birds that flew across our hotel garden morning and evening, never stopping for more than a moment or two hence the shoddy pictures.
