Hi
A friend in Brazil has just asked my advice about which binoculars to buy. Unfortunately, I know very little about this, but said that I knew nearly 10,000 people on birdforum who would know. He is a university profesor who needs to buy a couple of pairs of binoculars for his students to use for fieldwork on primates. They obviously need to be good quality, preferably fairly waterproof, and preferably fairly lightweight. The price range is between about 200 and 250 US dollars. He will need to order them as he has little selection in Brazil and the prices are higher. I assume that it is best to order from the US, as British prices are usually far higher. Any advice would be a great help.
Tom
