Hardly getting out at all to bird so far this year. Got this one in the parking lot of the grocery store:
108. Great-tailed Grackle.

Went to Bolsa Chica Wetlands in Huntington Beach today. I was there last week and there were hundreds (thousand?)of Elegant Terns. They were so noisy the sound of Pacific Coast Hwy. was drowned out. That's noisy! I took some really great shots of them wheeling and landing and bathing. The light was perfect and I knew I was going to be really happy with a few photos and might post some. I got home and went to get the chip out and no chip! I had left it in the little thing I use to plug it into the computer for downloading. Bummer. Got a few little rewards today though:

111. Ridgway's Rail (used to be called Light-footed Clapper Rail--still is in my Sibley's)
112. California Least Tern
113. Elegant Tern (failed to post when I saw them)
114. Semipalmated Plover
