Im going to Majorca on a family holiday on the 22nd August. Can anyone recommened any books on the best places to watch birds. Thank you - Gareth

Agreed - it's still the best.

Also worth trying a "google" search on "Mallorca" (or Majorca) & "bird report" - you'll find loads of reports with plenty of tips as to where to go and what to see.

As a rider to this thread does anyone know if GOB are still in existence? They had been at Bird Fairs in the past but not this year.

GOB is barely alive!

Yes Alf the GOB is still alive although it's profile has been greatly reduced since the loss of Graham Hearl. Fancy taking over the position??

Other than the fact that I live in Yorkshire, speak 200 words of Spanish and visit Mallorca only every other year there is no reason why not!!

Seriously this should be a role for a native Mallorquin don't you think?

Does anyone know whether the Mallorca Bird Report is still produced ? A gentleman called Mark Thompson used to send it out, but I have seen no reference since 2001.
