Norfolk birding (12 Viewers)

I think you can park free for 3 hours at Lathams.

For shoppers using the car-park to go shopping yes (as it is intended)... Free parking for other activities I'm not so sure about.

Parking at the village hall would be a better option (as birdguides were advising all weekend :t:)

Red Kites daily over our village near Fakenham, reminds me of living in Maidenhead many years ago, particularly when they call. I would be keen to know or have more information on the Black Kite seen again today, though a photograph maybe pushing it a tad.
Thanks, Pat

One of the hundred or so Black-tailed Godwits on Titchwell RSPB freshmarsh yesterday was of the limosa race rather than the usual islandica though I only realised when I reported its colour-rings and had a reply from the RSPB scientist responsible for the ringing scheme. It was a female ringed on the Nene washes in May - hatched two chicks but neither survived in what is described as a poor breeding season there.

Kingfishers

Hi all

Does anyone know of any reliable sites in North Norfolk for kingfisher? I have been asked to find one for a visiting friend in a couple of weeks and tbh I don't have a clue in this area.

Thanks in advance
