It's the Summer Meeting of the Ornithological Society of the Middle East on Saturday 1 July at BTO HQ, Thetford. Doors open 10.00. Everyone welcome.

Med gull - 15+ on fresh marsh
Spotted redshank - 4 on fresh marsh

Seawatching action today at Cley included Bonxies, Arctic Skua, Little Gulls, scoter flocks, waders etc. Also plenty of displaced Kittiwakes and Gannets heading NW - back towards Flamborough - but limited visibility and the albatross evaded detection (only JMcC and me actually looking though...)
 
Early morning from Cley produced more Gannets, but it turned out that Albert went north instead of south :-(
Still, two Red-throated Divers, 3 Eiders, 250 Common Scoters, Manx Shearwater, Kittiwakes, Med & Little Gulls, Whimbrel etc were interesting, plus a strong southerly movement of Swifts.

Today's early morning seawatch at Cley produced a dozen Manx Shearwaters, two Arctic Skuas, a Velvet Scoter, 2 Red-throated Divers, a few Guillemots and Razorbills, Little Gull and a few waders (mostly Curlews and Knot)

Various bits at Cley today included two Caspian & 9 Y-l Gulls, Little and 5 Med Gulls, 3 limosa Bl-t Godwits (one Dutch-ringed), 12+ Little R Plovers, 3 Green & 4 Common Sandpipers, Dunlin, a few Ruff & Whimbrels, and a Hobby.
