By the way, how did you guess this is a thrush nightingale by the silhouette only?

Well, I imagine it was taken in Poland, and also I can see a darker breast on it. But, a bit of guesswork involved naturally.

Yes, but the eastern (Luscinia megarhynchos) and western (Luscinia luscinia) part of the breeding ranges is running across Poland. So in fact, we have both species |:d| The picture was taken in the eastern Poland plus it sang like a thrush so it was a thrush |:D| I'm not able, however, to tell the thrush only by the colour unless I have the common nightingale beside it, which in fact very rarely happens (if ever).
