) to attract the bucks to his tree stand, the stuff is called "C'mere Deer" I kid you not. There may be an equivalent in the UK, but I doubt it.Twite. |

Deer are not really my "area", however i know stalkers use salt/mineral "licks" which hold deer to certain areas. I beleive they can be brought from feed merchants as they are manufactured for cattle/sheep. From a more basic perspective, Muntjac and Roe especially are troublesome on shooting estates where they knock over pheasant hoppers containing wheat trying to get at the contents, so maybe wheat could be used to a certain effect (being careful not to encourage vermin)

Red Deer come in for the peanuts at the Speyside Wildlife hide, and I've seen Muntjac taking birdseed from the ground level platforms at Fowlmere.

Peanuts, Peanut Butter and Bramble jelly (jam) will pull in Muntjac as well as Badgers.
A small pond will also be good as everthing needs to drink. Munjac became a real problem at one of my feeding stations, they would get up on their hind legs and knock down and trample the feeders, I though it was vandals at first!
